Editor's notes

Mr. William Hunt
Mr. Hunt has been a Management Consultant for almost 30 years. He was exposed to excessive noise in factories and on his farm. Mr. Hunt suffered from Tinnitus for about four months before seeking treatment in Israel. This video helps describe the relationship he developed with Dr. Shemesh and the results he has achieved to date. Now he feels that he is committed to helping other sufferers.

Mr. Gerald Attia
Mr. Attia lives in San Diego, USA and work as a family therapist. He suffered from intractable tinnitus and tried various treatments in USA and Mexico. Having had no improvement, Mr. Attia came to Dr. Shemesh. In the video clip, Mr. Attia tells how much he suffered, the treatment by Dr. Shemesh and his condition today–9 months after he started the treatment.

Dr. Patricia O'donovan (Ph.D.)

Dr. O'donovan did her Ph.D in Biology, and decided to continue in art. Today she is a performer in her puppet theater for kids. The show combines pleasure and educational messages for the children. In the video clip she tells about the progress of her tinnitus and the disturbance to the normal daily life. Treatments that she tried-did not help. After she was treated by Dr. Shemesh, Dr. O'donovan experiences slow improvement in her condition. In the video clip she relates to the changes in her symptoms following the treatment.

Mrs. Anat Cohen

Mrs. Cohen Anat suffered from vertigo and Tinnitus for many years. Her main problem was the severe vertigo. In the video clip she open heartedly tells about the prolonged period of suffering and the damage to her personal life. When the vertigo became very severe she succeeded in finding the name of Dr. Shemesh and came for treatment. After 8 month of treatment she started feeling an improvement. Since then, her condition improved further. Today she does not have Vertigo, and the Tinnitus is weak.

Lawyer Shimshon Halpern
Mr. Halpern is an Advocate with specialty in Hi-Tech, Intellectual Property Law, International Business Law, Commercial Contracts, Real Estate Law and Corporate Law. When the Tinnitus started he received an explanation that this is “just” wax in the ear. After he was not being able to find an effective medical treatments he came to Rabbi Firer from the “Ezra Lemarpeh” Non-Profit Organization for consultation and was referred to Dr. Shemesh. Mr. Halpern is comparing the level of suffering from his symptoms before and after his treatment. In spite of his bad days before the treatment he is very careful. Mr Halpern uses “mild terminology” to express his level of suffering.

Mr. Mark Van Romondt
Mr. Van Romondt Mark, graduated Business managing and works in tourism in the Island “Aruba”. In the video clip, Mr Van Romondt tells about the stages he underwent since the Tinnitus started and until a severe increase in the symptoms. He disappointed by physicians who gave him discouraging recommendations. Mr. Van Romondt mentions the symptoms that diminished under the treatment of Dr. Shemesh.

Mrs. Rachel Risman
Mrs Risman, a professional teacher, suffered from hearing loss due to Otosclerosis (calcification of the bones in the middle ear). She underwent surgery by an experienced senior surgeon who performed “stapedectomy” (replacement of the stapes bone by prosthesis). The prosthesis was larger and as a result (she was told by few consultants) it could not be replaced by a prosthesis of any size. She could not hear and suffered from severe tinnitus for 5 years. Following the treatment by “metabolic approach”, Mrs. Risman's condition improved very much. In the video clip she tells about the process.

Mr. Tim Donohue
Mr. Donohue is a talented singer, guitar player and entertainer. He came to Israel from San Clemente, USA for Tinnitus treatment. His phonal trauma happened in a noisy pub, while a young lady shouted to him directly to his ear in order to make sure that he can hear what she wanted to tell him. Since the incident, Mr. Donohue started suffering from severe Tinnitus. He tried 5 American experts who told him: there is nothing to do, you have to live with it”. Later he came to Germany to no avail, and his financial condition deteriorated. Here in Israel, Dr. Shemesh helped him. In the video clip he tells about his medical adventures.

Mr. Yaacov Cohen
Mr. Cohen suffered from Vertigo and Tinnitus. The attacks of Vertigo were very severe, and when Dr. Shemesh saw him during one of his attacks he was shocked. Mr Cohen tells (in French) the stages of the deterioration in his medical condition and how much he suffered. Today, under the treatment of Dr. Shemesh he had only one attack of vertigo during the recent year.

Mr. Amir Backman
Mr. Backman Amir, a talented musician with international reputation, who plays oboe and piano. Has had low grade Tinnitus for many years and succeeded to cope with it. After experiencing a barotrauma the Tinnitus became intractable and Mr. Backman was hospitalized and was discharged after 10 days without any effective treatment.  In the video clip he compares the pre treatment symptoms to his condition today with emphasis on his Hyperacusis.

Mrs. Rivka Halio
Mrs Halio retired from the Israeli police. On her way to the office, 17 years ago, she felt that there is no floor, and she cannot feel anything steady under her legs. It was the first episode in repeated frightening attacks. Experts in ENT dicouraged her. Professor Yosef Elidan, Manager of ENT Department of Hadassah Hospital referred her to Dr. Shemesh. The treatment was helpful, and then she was involved in severe car crush. She suffered from multi-trauma and relapse of the Vertigo and Dizziness. She was treated again, and the Vertigo and Dizziness attacks disappeared. She discontinued the special medications 6 month ago and continued to feel good.

Mrs. Myriam Asrtrogano
Mrs. Astrogano is suffering from few severe medical conditions, including prolonged and partial rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery. In her high age she was distressed when she started to suffer from severe attacks of Vertigo together with annoyance by Tinnitus. She had to go to various hospitals to seek medical help in spite of her difficulties to move. The Vertigo affected her family and social network because she could not move and could not accept guests at home. She was treated by Dr. Shemesh and is satisfied from the achievements of the treatment and wants to deliver optimistic message to the sufferers.
